Real Madrid beat Celta de Vigo 2-1 at Balaídos and is more alive than ever in the fight for LaLiga. Álvaro Arbeloa’s team didn’t play well, but it showed character by not giving up and fighting until the end.
One of the snapshots the match left was the gestures Arda Güler made when he was substituted in the second half. Although he started, the Turk didn’t like at all leaving the field early.
The episode occurred in the 65th minute, when Arbeloa decided to take him off the field and brought on César Palacios. When he saw his number on the electronic board, Güler looked incredulous, smiled, and left the field very quickly.
After greeting Arbeloa, he put his hands to his face and sat on the bench. A gesture that was interpreted as a complaint about the decision made by his coach.

It should be remembered that this is not the first time he has gotten angry about being replaced. A month ago, something similar happened in the Champions League group stage match against Benfica.
Antonio Romero leaves Güler KO
The situation was widely discussed on the Carrusel Deportivo broadcast. In that context, Antonio Romero, commentator for the white team, didn’t hesitate to lay into the Turkish footballer.
“Güler is getting used to putting on a show every time they substitute him. If you want to be a starter at Madrid, you have to show that you’re very good,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Tomás Roncero criticized the level Güler is showing at this stage of the season.
“Doesn’t it seem to you that Güler is starting to be an insubstantial player? He pulls off a wonderful play and don’t expect anything else. He has no weight in the match,” he pointed out.
Arbeloa spoke about Güler’s gesture
After the match, Real Madrid’s coach spoke about what happened with the midfielder and tried to play down the situation.
“I don’t know if there is any coach who has played Güler more than I have, I have trusted him since I arrived. I brought on Palacios because he is more used to doing the job Güler was doing today. Madrid have won, we have all won,” he stressed.

Despite this, Madridists are not happy with the Turk and expect these attitudes not to be repeated.
